CG Artist

Jet Set Games is on the lookout for a CG Artist to join the team. You’d be working with a small and nimble group of artists, designers, and programmers, so you’ll need to be a capable problem solver, eager to take on challenges — someone who’s comfortable with direction and criticism, who can learn new skills, and wear multiple hats.

We are looking for a generalist (you know, good at everything)… the more of the following you can do, the better!

  • Create 3D models for characters, objects and environments
  • Create texture maps and apply them to 3D models
  • Create particle effects
  • Create 2D art for user interfaces
  • Rig and animate 3D characters
  • Create concept art
  • Create low resolution 2D characters and objects (sprites)

You’ll need to be proficient in one or more of these:

  • Autodesk Maya or equivalent 3D software
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Traditional arts (painting, drawing, etc)
  • Corel Painter

Responsibilities may include one or more of the following:

  • Conceptualizing characters, environments and other game elements
  • Modeling 3D characters, environments and objects
  • Texture mapping characters, environments and objects
  • Creating particle effects using proprietary tools
  • Rigging and animating 3D characters
  • Creating 2D art for user interfaces
  • Creating and animating 2D sprites

Requirements:

  • A portfolio (digital or traditional) demonstrating professional level art ability
  • 2 or more years in game development

Interested? We look forward to hearing from you!
